Cali Trip - Week 6

As "they" say: all good things must come to an end...so here we are. This was our final week in California and we filled it beyond capacity trying to see everyone "one last time" before heading back to Paraguay.

MONDAY: That said, Monday may have been the most relaxing day of the trip. We stayed around the house and spent some quality time catching up with Auntie Allie and Uncle J.

TUESDAY: This was the day I was looking forward to the entire trip!  We headed to University of Redlands for a giant photo shoot with our friends.  Amongst the five couples, there are nine kids - all girls - so we conspired together to capture the madness on film.  Here are some pics that my sis took (the professional ones won't be available for a few weeks).

WEDNESDAY: After a yummy breakfast with Auntie Kara and Miss Kim, we left the girls with GiGi and Niecey (Aunt Denise) to get our bowl on.  Then it was more play time in the back yard and dinner at BJ's.

THURSDAY: No trip to California would be complete without at least ONE beach day, so we packed up and headed to Corona Del Mar on Thursday. It was Bailey's first time at the beach and she had a blast; it was Boston's first time, too, but she just lies there, so it doesn't really count.  Then it was home for a nap, then dinner with the Moon's!

FRIDAY: It's sad that I have to go check my pictures to remember what happened each day...and since I have no pictures of what happened in the morning, I have NO IDEA what happened in the morning. But, after nap time it looks like we headed to Abue's house and met up with the Arza family (friends from Paraguay) for dinner.   Packing? Did I pack that morning? Who knows . . .

SATURDAY: I KNOW I packed on Saturday, as well as made two Target runs.  The first was with Bailey to get her lunch pail (or, as she calls it: her snack backpack) for preschool.  The second trip was for some forgotten toiletries and baby wipes (nearly $5 for 50 wipes in Paraguay).  My parents live on a cul-de-sac and Saturday was also a long overdue block party!  "We" have lived there since I was in sixth grade and this is the first one I remember; apparently they used to have them before we moved in. Then it was good-bye, good-bye, good-bye!  More to come on the flights and our impromptu tour of Panama!
